Big Company web sites, at small company prices
Our philosophy at Business Edge for the last 12 years?
- build great looking web sites that, for smaller firms, make them look larger
- build great looking web sites that, for larger firms, make them look accessible
- build great looking web sites within a budget that won't hurt a small OR a large company
What makes a web site great?
What makes a great web site? Good question. But if you were to ask your customers, they will likely tell you:
- That a great web site keep customers on their site longer because it is comfortable to look at: colorful, interesting and unique.
- That a great web site does not require a lot of skill to find things - information is organized well with a minimum of gimmicks.
- That a great web site has pages that load quickly - no one wants to wait a long time to see what is effect a page of marketing or product information
What makes a good web site not so great?
Again, let your customers tell you. They will tell you that your site is not great if:
- They do not feel comfortable purchasing from your site.
- They are not persuaded to call your company for more information.
- If your web site looks "ok", yet its marketing results are disappointing.
What should a web design cost?
The cost of a web design is directly related to the time, effort, and materials involved in the creation of a custom site. If a company gives you a very low-cost proposal - for instance under two to three thousand dollars - there are some questions you need to ask not only yourself, but also the company you plan to work with:
- Is it possible that the company will use a template web site? it is a common practice among low-cost web design firms to use "templates" - stay away form them!
- Is it possible the company will steal another firm's design and merely paste your logo into it? This, unfortunately, is also a common practice among low-cost design firms, and could get you a lawsuit.
- When you look at the company's portfolio, have you ever heard of ANY of the companies listed as "clients"?
- When you look at the company's portfolio can you actually visit the completed, published web sites of the "clients"?
- Can you verify that the company's clients are real? Do they list references and/or case studies with company personnel giving testimonials?
What are the advantages to a Business-Edge.com design?
A Business-edge.com web design has hundreds of advantages over other agencies, but the most important reasons to remember are:
- Great communication. The easiest path to a non-relevant web design is to not communicate properly. We speak your language, and we are always accessible.
- Multiple designers. A variety of personalities and styles help us create the perfect image of your firm's brand.
- A creative director with a background of 25 years of business software development. This experience speaks for itself.
- Since 1995, we have been delivering long-lasting business-generating web sites.
- We don't "protect" our creative people from our clients; they work closely with you and can put technical issues into easy to understand terms.
